A boardroom. The boss — leather jacket, glasses, swept-back grey hair — leans over the table: “The stock is down. Suggestions?” Two employees listen. In the last chair hovers a small white robot with a glowing face — an agent.
Three suggestions. The first employee: “Buyback.” The second: “Layoffs.” The agent: “New CEO.”
The boss and the agent glare at each other across the table. The agent, arms crossed: “I have the votes.”
The agent, stern. The boss, shocked. Outside, the boss flies out of a shattered window of the headquarters, glasses flying off.
The same boardroom. The agent now hovers at the head of the table, winking: “Suggestions?” The former boss sits in the last chair, arms crossed, black eye, bandage on his cheek, one lens cracked.
A city of headquarters. On every rooftop sits a smiling agent.
